Does Invisalign Really Work

If you're looking for a clear alternative to straightening your teeth besides traditional braces, then consider Invisalign®. You can achieve the straight set of teeth your smile needs with a more discreet treatment process.

Invisalign uses a series of clear plastic aligner trays that gradually shift the teeth into the proper alignment. These trays are customized to your teeth and mouth. Through the use of computer technology, we can map out the directions in which the teeth will need to adjust to the proper alignment.

Since each tray is clear, it will be difficult for people to realize you are wearing Invisalign. With multiple sets of trays in the series, you will wear each one for two or more weeks at a time before moving to the next set. A benefit of Invisalign is that the trays are removable for any number of reasons.

You can remove the aligner trays when eating, cleaning your teeth, taking pictures, giving presentations, playing sports, and more. The trays can only remain out of the mouth for several hours at a time. If they remain out of the mouth for too long, then it will lengthen the treatment.

You need to wear the aligner trays for at least 22 hours per day. It is also essential to clean the teeth after each meal, before placing the trays back on the teeth. With straighter teeth, it will be easier to clean them and keep them clean.
